It's Monday and what a hectic weekend it was.

I checked my email and I got this from a friend:

I'm really getting into this, its sooo much fun strolling down memory lane!

I actually got this photo from my friend. It brings back sooo many memories.

I can honestly say that I either keep in touch with or have been in contact with the families of about 85% of my classmates pictured here.

Infact the girl on the bottom row second one in, she was in my wedding!

I am actually the last girl on the top row with and eye patch on. Yup thats me!

What a way to end the week!

Valentine Candy... evil lil suckers

I was never big on Valentines Day.

I cant explain it.. just watch last night's Cougar Town and it kinda explains it.

Anyone else feel that way?

Might be just me... ok anyways... one part of Valentines that I just cant do anymore is the CANDY!!!!

I have this tiny basket by my desk cause belive it or not, the boys love candy.

They have a weakness for anything chocolate and peanut butter put together. They pretend to be manly men who demolish stuff but reality is they giggle for chocolate.

But dont tell them I told you.

The down side is, I love candy too... and I just can't resist them either. Gosh its worse than over the holidays. Ive had atleast 2 little bars everyday for the past week. And telling myself they're miniatures doesnt help because candy is candy and the way Im going its just a downward spiral.

I --- MUST ---- STOP!!

I've been eating them so fast that I didnt even notice this on the back of the snickers bars.

hehehe

Macro Linky Party

I love photography.

I wish I had an absurd amount of money to buy the camera that I REALLY want and I wish I had the time to go around and take all kinds of pictures. I also wish I had someone to teach me how to use my photoshop elements.

I have been taking a lot of indoor pictures recently with projects or recepies Ive been working on and my indoor shots are just awful. I have bad lighting in my house for one and a not so good camera also.

Tracy over at Tracy's Trinkets & Treasures

has been practicing her photography skills and last week had a great tutorial and linky party for photos with a white background.

This week she played around with the Macro setting. You know that setting with the pix of a flower and you can get all up close and personal with the subject youre shooting.

I love pix like that.

So I'll be linking up and sharing a few of mine.

I took these pictures almost a year ago when I first started blogging.

I took these at my husband's family reunion back in August. I loved the texture of the tree.

I took this one at a friend's house we were grilling in the backyard and the moss caught my eye.

1. Are you married/in a relationship/single? For how long?

I am married to my best friend. We met while I was in high school and became friends. We started seeing eachother my first year in college and 14 years later here we are. We've been married for 10 years now.

2. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?

I work for a demolition company. It's a small company but well established. I am the only one in the office so I do pretty much everything but dont have a title so when people ask me what my title is I like to say 'Supreme Being' LOL.

I enjoy what I do for the most part, I wish I could get out of the office more sometimes and see what the guys do so I understand what they talk about better and who doesnt like demolition?!

 

3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised?

I live in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. I was born here and lived here my entire life.

 

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?

I have a 23 month old son that will be 2 this month! Oh my goodness where has the time gone? My baby is growing up soooo fast. We would like one more but financially I dont think we can afford it right now.

 

5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why?

Thankful Tuesday {Linky Party}

It's Tuesday and I want to know what you're thankful for.

I am thankful for the time I got to take my son on his first fishing trip.
We packed a small cooler and put him in his stroller.

I am thankful for the short walk down the road to the harbor that we live above.

I am thankful for the beautiful day it was and the time we shared.

I am thankful for my friend Chris who was at our house and convinced us to just get up and go.

I am thankful for my son's total happiness. He spent almost the first half hour saying fishy fishy fishy.

I am thankful for the opportunity to live in such a beautiful place.

 

I am thankful for the wonderful husband that I have and for him being such a devoted father.

I am thankful for the boys in my life. I love them.
