It's Hoo are You time..

Here are this week's questions....
1. What is your favorite magazine?
I actually dont have anytime to read magazines :-( I love to look at catalogs though ;-)
2. What color are your eyes?
my eyes are plain brown, my son lucked out and got some kind of hazel sometimes its green kinda colored eyes
3. Do you go to the dentist on a regular 6 month schedule, or do you put it off?
Ok, I'll be honest and don't judge! I didnt go to the dentist for 16 years! Only once because I had an impacted wisom that locked my jaw shut for 4 days! Then a cracked tooth gave me soooo much pain I was up at night for days and I prayed that if God got me through the nite I would make an appt the next morning. Well, I made it through the night and true to my word I made an appt and for a year and a half now I go every 6 months. I dont know why I didnt do it sooner!! I love the clean feeling from the dentist!!
4. Do you use anything to make your house smell good?
I have a bath and body wallflower and I love the jar candles I get from Kmart. Dont know the brand but my fav flavor is sugar cookies I think?
5. Do you have any pets?
Oh we had a beloved family cat, he was our baby! He wasnt a pet he was part of the family. He passed when my son was 4 months old and my husband refuses to get another one, he said no cat can replace our Blu.
Hes a dog man and I soooo do not like dogs. Untill then we have a turtle named Sammie.

Spring Garden Cleaning

My garden has been seriouslly neglected recently.
Its in dire need of some TLC.
As much as I might complain, we have great weather all year long so my only excuse to let it go this bad was me being lazy.

From left to right we have: Rosemary, remnants of tomato, green onion, nearly dead basil and then more green onion.

Here's my garden box that used to be so beautiful and full of cucumber and lettuce.
As my hubby got to work on the garden box I started thinning out the green onion.

I pulled them all out and look at how much I had! Wow that would last me like a lifetime!
Then I cut them down so that I could replant.

I trimmed my tomato and gave them a tomato cage to climb on and also trimmed the basil. We have yet to see if they will survive the massacre.

My hubby cleaned out the box in no time and I planted some cucumber and bell pepper.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have my own fresh veggies in no time!

my 75 cent accessory

I have been looking for a large pitcher for a while to put on my counter top for my cooking utensils. I found this little creamer pot thingie for 75 cents! I thought it had potential and for 75 cents I could do anything to it and it would be worth it.

I put a really quick coat of spray paint that for the life of me I cant even remember the name of it because it wasn't the color I originally wanted but its what the store had at the time. I thought about spray painting it white and adding some fake greenery to it, but I didnt have white spray paint and I didnt have any greenery that would match in such a small container.

So there it is! Nothing special just yet but I added some color to my otherwise bare counter top. I know this isnt the final resting spot for my itty bitty creamer pitcher on my itty bitty ledge behind my kitchen sink but there she will be until we have some shelves up.

Pitcher - 75 cents
Paint - free (already had)

Getting clean and putting Shaklee to the test

A few weeks ago I entered a Shaklee giveaway over at A bowl full of lemons.
I've been hearing about Shaklee for a while now and have been very curious to try it out.

I got this really cute card in the mail from Toni

I took out my sample and I just had to take a pix.
(I put the nickel there as reference for the size)
(I couldnt for the life of me flip this photo right way up)

Ok so are all of you thinking the same thing I was thinking?
What in the world is that small little thing gonna do?

Well I followed the directions and made my mixture.
Hmmm what to clean? What to clean?
I decided to REALLY give it a tough job.

My oven
Its awful in there, just terrible in there.
Actually Toni has a cleaner made just for this kinda job so I wasnt expecting it to do anything. I decided to just tackle the inside glass on the door and see what would happen.

It completely shocked me!
I cleaned better than I ever thought it would!
I knew it couldnt completely clean that awful mess in there, but what it did do surprized me.
First of all there was no smell, I swear nothing. I had to ask the hubs to come and see if I was missing something.
I sprayed it on and let it sit while I looked for a scrubbie pad. Just a little bit of elbow grease and it cleaned it up pretty darn good.
Good enough infact that I'm ordering that special oven and grill cleaner from Toni.

I've been using it to clean up my countertops after dinner and my sink and even the bathroom counters and sinks. I really am pleased with it I must say.

If you wanna grab yourself some go see Toni over at A bowl full of lemons!!

And speaking of cleaning dont forget today is the last day to enter for the free bottle of Purex Crystals Softener!!

after weekend vent session....and boobies

I've had a completely exhausting weekend... oh how I wish I had one more day to recover!!!

I have lots of little projects to share with all of you and so much to catch up on.

I got my sample of basic H2 cleaner that I won from a giveaway hosted by A bowl full of lemons, I so wanna tell you guys about that.
We changed out the light above our dinning room table and for a great deal.
I picked up a craigslist desk for $25 yay! I now have a place to craft instead of my bedroom floor!

I sometimes feel like I am caring for a 2 yr old going on 15, a 34 yr old going on 3 and lets not even get into mama drama and daddy drama...just plain old family drama. (btw none of the family drama is connected to the other, its all seperate)

And just all kinds of other little things that make our life so crazy and hecktic.

(all photos via google and all I'm feeling as my anthem right now)

But, this morning I read {this} post over at Hip Chick's Guide to PMS, Pregnancy and Babies!
Hanna from The Olive Parent is guest posting on her journey of breastfeeding all 7 YES SEVEN of her children.

I feel like she was telling my story!
I breastfed for exactly one year at that time my son decided that he was done breastfeeding. I didnt have to fight him he decided, and I was so greatful for that.

Breastfeeding was not an easy task for me. I knew the health benefits and I wanted that bonding experience with my son. Not to mention the cost of formula!

I had so much pain while breastfeeding and everyone told me thats how it is in the begining, it gets better. My son nursed every hour and a half and when he was done I was left with burning nipples to the point I was crying instead of a close bonding feeling that I thought I would have. It must have been over two months before we got diagnosed with Thrush. It was THE most painful experience ever. What hurt even more was thinking that my son was suffering because of it as well and that I missed out on that bonding feeling from the very begining. I was tired and cranky and lets just say it a bitch for a while.
It took two rounds of antibiotics and a week of blow drying my nipples before it cleared up. But when it did, breastfeeding was a breeze. I couldnt think of any other way to have it.

I have a smart, happy and healthy boy. (not to brag or anything) I feel so blessed to have been able to give him the gift of breasfeeding and to have had that closeness and bonding time.

Go read her story {here} if youre a mom who breastfed you can appreciate it.

Another bloggerversary Giveaway!

Friday I will be announcing the winner of the Purex Crystals Softner, in the meantime I want to give my readers another gift for putting up with my endless ramblings.

A while ago a friend of mine got me a set like this and I thought the travel bag was so cute I asked a friend of mine to send me another one.

I honestly dont know why I cant turn the image around! Ive tried and tried and resized the image so I found this one on the internet below.

It's a Bath and Body Works travel bag that comes with a 3oz bottle of lotion, a 3 oz bottle of shower gel and a bottle of perfume in the Japanese Cherry Blossom scent.

And this one will go to one of you!
Just to say thanks!

How to enter you ask?
This one is simple, you must be a follower and if you are leave me a comment telling me what your fav scent is from Bath & Body.

Giveaway will close in one week on the 29th and I'll announce a winner on Wednesday.

Good luck!

Hoo are you no. 37

Its that time again, time to get to know me a little better.
How about you??

1. Have you ever had a professional massage before?
Oh yes! I've gone with my mother in law and sister in law to a spa for the day and my friend's brother in law opened a day spa with his girlfriend a while back and we had a 'test private party' it was LOVELY!
I get 'stoned' every mothers day from my grandmother's neighbor.
(stoned meaning stone massage, I just wanted to clarify)

2. When drinking bottled water do you have a preference on which brand you drink?
Not really, I dont buy bottled water that often... re-use reduce recycle!

3. What is your favorite kind of soup?
oh my well, I guess it depends on how I'm feeling.
There's a deli in town here that makes the best darn clam chowder, I make a pretty mean portuguese bean soup which is perfect for a hearty cold weather meal, I love love miso when I'm feeling sick. Makes me feel better and reminds me of growing up with my grandma.
But sometimes I really love a good lentil soup.

4. Do you have a preference on which Kleenex brand you use?
I never did, until I was introduced to Puff Plus with vicks, I'll never go back to anything else!

5. What is your favorite breakfast food?
I love breakfast food! I can eat it morning noon and midnight!
I love pancakes, bacon, crispy hashbrowns or fried potatoes, omlettes you name it I love it!

Remember I told ya'll about the laundry room  closet table I made {here }
Well, this morning as we were leaving for work I told the hubs, "is it just me, or does the house smell like clorox?" He smelled it too but we thought it was bug bait that I put out this morning.

He came home this afternoon and got a HUGE wiff of clorox BAM in the face!
Being the good hubby he can be, he searched where the smell was coming from and found our brand new bottle of clorox had been pushed up against a little tab in the cabinet and made a teeny tiny pin hole.
Clorox had been leaking out ALL day long.
It was inside our cabinet, leaked onto my ironing board and onto my table.

It's actually much whiter in person than it is in this picture.
Can we have a moment of silence, while I mourn my hard work and think of recovering it.

A BIG thanks to the hubby though, when I got home he took everything out of the cabinet, the table, the ironing board and all my detergents and fabric softner.
Yup, he can be so good sometimes.

Recipe Mess

I love to cook. And I guess my family and friends know this.
I seem to have collected a lot of cookbooks and receipes over the years.
I just stash them in that tiny cabinet over my micro since its so small I never know what to put up there.
And its a MESS....
(this is after I took most of my stuff out)

I organized them by type of cookbook.

Just check out this mess!!! Thats all the stuff I print out on the internet and cut out of magazines and newspapers. (if you look closely you'll even see a recipe scribbled on a recept for car parts!)

Toni's over at A bowl full of lemons is awsome when it comes to cleaning and organizing. I took her 21 day challenge back in January. I didnt do all 21 days but it got me started and on a good path to getting organized and clean!

She did a post on creating a recepie binder which I PROMISED myself I will do! I just have to! No excuses. (as I write this post... this pile is STILL on my kitchen counter)

I did put the rest of my cookbooks back in the cabinet all nice and neat.
Lets see how long it lasts.

What mess are you going to tackle?

Dont forget to enter my Purex Giveaway and stay tuned for more!

Bloggerversary giveaway #1 with Purex Crystals Softner

{Giveaway now closed}

So I have been talking about how much I really like the new Purex Crystals softner and I want you all to have an opportunity to love them as much as I do.
Why do we love new Purex Crystals?
Well, its so easy to use! You put it in at the begining of the wash. What does that do? It gives it time to infuse your laundry with its fresh scent and lasts longer.
It's also 92% natural ingredients so even those who have alergies can use it.
You can use it on your all your clothes and your towels... yes your towels.
I hate that feeling of fabric softner on your towels and then you dont feel like you're getting dry. I found out that its because of the oils in the fabric softner. Purex Crystals are FREE of oil-based ingredients so you get that clean dry feeling! Yay! Thats absolutely my favorite thing about this products!

So give a huge thanks to Purex who sponsored this giveaway.... clap clap clap!
I am giving away a coupon for one free bottle of Purex Crystals softner. (up to a $5 value)

How to enter?

*Mandatory Entry*

Blog Anniversary....

Tomorrow From the Heart turns 1!

One year ago I had a crazy idea to start a blog.
It started as just talking about weddings since I love weddings and parties and I perform the ceremonies.

Then I got introduced to blogs like: All Things Thrifty, Kevin & Amanda, The Pioneer Woman, Bakerella and Vintage Revivals just fuled me to do more.
More with my blog, more in my home and more for special occasions.
I expanded from what I started as Weddings By Rhiannon to what it is today.

I have had such a great time meeting people, becoming blogger buddies, connecting with other women just like myself and learning so much.
Blogging takes up a lot of time and you really have to do it for the right reasons but its totally worth every minute of it.

I really appreciate all your support over the past year as I have grown and developed my own style and explored things I normally would never have tried.

I'll announce a few giveaways to say thank you to everyone, nothing spectacular but just somethings to say thanks!

See ya'll then!

Laundry day with Purex Crystals update

I told you all about Laundry Saturdays and this weekend I was excited to try my new Purex Crystals.
They come in puuurrrdy bottles and the idea of crystals is cool.

All you have to do it add a capful (depending on the size of your load).
Just sprinkle it all over your clothes, no need to put it in a seperate place on your washer.

Let me just say that I luv the smell! I'm usually VERY turned off by the smell of fabric softner. These scents were very nice and clean without being over powering.
Also I like my towels crunchy not that super soft feeling that doesnt seem to dry you off after a shower. Well, these didnt feel that way at all! I still had crunch to my towels, yet they were a bit softer and smelled really good. I felt nice and dry after my shower.
The strange thing was my clothes, they felt soft and not as crunchy, very nice infact.

I'm all for it and if you look now in your PB&G Brands Saver add in your local newspaper they have a $2.00 off coupon... totally worth it!
Also dont forget to like them on facebook and get a $1.00 off coupon!!

Hoo are you? #36

Here are this week's questions!

1. What are a couple of your favorite green foods?
spinach, broccoli, salads, zuchini

2. Do you decorate for St. Patrick's Day?
nope, never did

3. Do you have Irish in you?
I sure do!

4. Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
In my younger days we would go out and have some irish car bombs, someone would always make corned beef and cabbage and then we started mixing up our own drinks anything that would be green. Now, the party days are way behind us and we dont do anything. Maybe this year I'll make some green eggs and spam for dinner.

5.Use one word that represents each letter in the word LUCK in your life!
hmmm this is a tough one..

2 more doors down... 3 more to go

So I continued with painting my doors in the house. I remember now why I didnt finish them in the first place... painting kinda sucks.

If you remember I mentioned that the doors on the inside of the house (just like the rest of the house) was painted a flat white base. (from what we were told the builders had a ton left over from another project so they figured they would save $$ and NOT like they passed those savings to us!)

Check this out they didnt even paint the entire door. They just put the door up and sprayed the front and back. They even sprayed the hinges, we had to loosen up the paint so the doors would open and close when we moved in.

Because its a flat paint, it attracts every single dirty fingerprint and smudge.
Look at it, nothing would get it out, not even the magic eraser and that thing is magic!

Here is the old color next to the new color. The new color is called Innocence by Behr. Its just slightly tinted so its not bright white.

But once the door is hung, you cant tell the difference in the paint.

Before: dirty yucky

After: nice and clean and shiny

I'll be linking to the parties {here}

Also stay tuned I'll be posting the linky parties in my side bar, as soon as I figure out how to change their size!

It's Monday and time for MMMM!
Its a free day so I'm picking this one for my grandfather.
He was a singer and this was his favorite song, he would sing it in honor of my uncle Danny.
Also in celebration of St. Patty's Day

And one more in honor of my grandpa, he used to sing this to me all the time.

Tsunami Update

I know this update is late, I kept meaning to post this on Friday, but time just kind of flew by.
These are pictures that were shared amongst friends on facebook from the aftermath of the tsunami.

This is a two story vacation rental on the Big Island of Hawaii.
It got swept off the foundation with all the surges.

This is the harbor on the south side of our island when the surge was in.

And when the surge went out.

The harbor just below our house where we go fishing made the newspaper.

We are so very thankful that nothing serious happened to anyone here in Hawaii.
We continue to pray for the families in Japan.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Tsunami Warning

Hawaii is now under a tsunami warning because of the quake in Japan.
Gotta be my husband to find humor in the situation.

Back in August I met an amazing woman. It was just for a few brief minutes and she was just a good samaritan who returned my lost wallet.
We were rushing off to my husband's family reunion and stopped at the store for the bbq and then made a quick stop at the bank to drop off a deposit. When we left the bank I put my wallet on the railing of the truck bed and when we drove off it fell into the road.

About a half hour later I got a call from my boss.
He said he got a call from a woman who found my wallet. She looked through my wallet and the only info she could find other than my name was my company credit card with the company name on it. She called the office and the answering machine gives my boss's cell number incase of emergencies. She called him and told him she found my wallet.
I called her and she was soooo sweet and I couldnt express to her how much I appreciated her making all that effort to return my wallet. She said her daugher once lost her wallet and she knows how it feels. We met up with her within 10 mins and I had my wallet back.

I tried giving her money and buying her lunch and she refused saying it was karma. She belived that when you do good things for people good things come back to you.
All I could give her was my thanks and a huge hug.

Today I just found out that she was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer.
My heart goes out to her and her family.
My hubby came to my work place to bring me this bracelet that they are selling for $5 to help her and her family with the medical costs they have accumulated since starting radiation treatments.

If any of you want to help her and her family, email me at collectionsfrommyheart (at) gmail (dot) com I will be happy to mail a bracelet to you. Or if you would like to give any type of donation monetary or gifts they will also be holding a fundraiser softball tournament in August.

I belive that God will truly bless and heal this amazing woman!
